A Prayer for Peace in Our Daily Lives
Lord, please put Your peace in my heart.
I’m worried and anxious.
My mind races and obsesses.
I can’t help thinking about my problems.
And the more I think about them,
the more depressed I become.
I feel like I’m sinking down in quicksand
and can’t get out.
Calm me, Lord.
Slow me down, put Your peace in my heart.
No matter what problem I have, Lord,
You are bigger.
You are more powerful than it is.
So I bring my problem to You.
I know what I want.
I know my will.
I do not know Yours.
I do not know how you will use this problem for my salvation.
I do not know what good You will work out from this evil.
But I trust You.
I trust Your goodness and Your wisdom.
So I place myself in Your hands.
Please fill my heart with peace.

Just in case some forgets to pay a Mass Stipend:
Mass isn't a paid arrangement for salvation but rather the commemoration of Christ's sacrifice of his life, given freely to all, Pope Francis said
Nothing! Understood? Nothing! You do not pay for the Mass! The Mass is Christ's sacrifice, which is free. Redemption is free. If you want to make an offering, do it. But you do not pay for it! This is important to understand!" he said.

The Bells are calling to us once again!
Tower Bell/Clock Rededication Sunday, January 07, 2018
The Bells are ringing once again!!….. There is so much spiritual character in this Church that has been given to us from one generation to another for over 100 years. The Tower Bell project is one of many in keeping the heritage of all those early settlers alive and well.
They implored Mary’s protection and their prayers were heard. They made it…, made it to a small village in the middle of nowhere land…The Town of Butternut…
The name of their Church would be an easy choice……Immaculate Conception.
When you read the history of IMC it was people like every one of you who came together to build this beautiful church. Records tell us parishioners volunteered to dig out the basement; build the cabinets in the sacristy, the communion rail, additional pews, and many other projects through out the years.
Every thing you hear is real, no artificial sounds, (although all functions are controlled by a processor), the 1000 lb. bell still swings (in the key of ‘G’) for the Angelus, for weddings, and 10 minutes before Mass. The strike hammer still hits the bell on the ½ hour and hour, and for the funeral toll. It has a battery back up & resets after a power outage and adjusts to DST…
In the Words of Fr. Joseph Graf 1957
“The clang of the Church Bell is not an empty sound; every note that vibrates upon the air, to the spiritual sense of hearing is a sound of faith, and a divine call to prayer.” Amen.
